Low carb hummus and tempeh wraps

The nights may be starting to draw in slightly earlier and there’s definitely a little chill in the air but don’t let that put you off of having a delicious light and summery meal. Here at Impulse HQ we have been enjoying these refreshing low carb wraps, there are so many combinations you can adapt these however you wish, here’s the recipe for one of our favourites.


  • 200g Tempeh (any flavour you desire)

  • Romanie lettuce leaves

  • 1 grated carrot

  • 2 tbsp hummus

  • 1/2 avocado sliced

  • 1/4 cucumber sliced

  • 1 tsp sunflower seeds

  • 2-4 radish’s sliced

  • 3-5 cherry tomatoes

  1. Firstly slice your tempeh into chunks or slices and in a frying pan with a little oil sear off till crispy, we used a chilli oil for a little kick, 2-3 mins each side is enough.

  2. Grate, chop and slice your veggies and top your lettuce leaves with the hummus, we used organic hummus

  3. Fill your leave enough so that they can still be picked up

  4. Sprinkle with the sunflower seeds and serve
